MUSIC IS IN THE AIR!

Brianna Abraham, Staff Writer

Virginia is no longer just for lovers. NDP’s Music Department took over the Williamsburg music competition. The Concert Band won a rating of superior and placed second in the competition. Chamber Choir received the award for second place with a rating of Excellent. Chorus and Orchestra both received third place with a rating of Excellent as well. This was amazing considering Williamsburg is one of the hardest competitions that the student musicians and vocalists compete in. After the students competed on Friday, they ate dinner in the heart of Williamsburg. They also had some time for shopping and ice cream eating, of course! Next stop, the bed. After a terrific breakfast of pancakes and bacon, the girls headed to Busch Gardens for some more fun. Many girls took this time to ride every rollercoaster in the park from the Griffin to the Lochness Monster, while other girls spent time petting the horses and eating ice cream once again. This trip was one of the best so far; the chaperones even wanted to volunteer for another trip! Williamsburg was a success. Plans for next year? Notre Dame Nashville takeover!
