Sister’s Academy Fun

The afternoon of Thursday, October 31, was a very lively one as a group of NDP girls went down to visit the Sister’s Academy in Baltimore. Each Halloween, the eighth grade class hosts a fall festival complete with games, music, and lots of delicious food. This year’s theme was the ’70s, and the gym was decorated with flowers and rainbows galore.

The girls were very excited as the Blazer Bus (driven by the one and only Mr. Pomplon) pulled into the parking lot. Many hugs and sounds of joy were shared as campers reunited with the counselors they met at the athletic camp held at NDP over the summer. The hour passed by very quickly and each girl went home with new memories. From dance parties to Wii Sports to the photo booth, everyone had an amazing time.

Additionally, over the weekend, a group of girls came to see The Little Mermaid, and we had a pizza party! It was a great way to connect with them again. We have many other opportunities with Sister’s Academy throughout the year, such as making Christmas stockings and Valentines for the girls.
