It’s almost Halloween, and there are signs of it everywhere. Pumpkins outside doorsteps, changing leaves, colder weather, pumpkin spice everything… and miles upon miles of Halloween candy in your local grocery store. Instead of pigging out on candy this Halloween night, try this recipe on for size. It’s easy, quick, fun to make, and will satisfy the chocolate cravings of any teenage girl you come across. Plus, the cookies are really cute.

You will need:

  • Fudge Stripe Cookies (or any other chocolate-covered cookies)
  • Icing (in any Halloween color)*
  • Hershey’s Kisses
  • Wax Paper (to work on)

Directions:

Place the cookies on the wax paper so that their chocolate-covered sides are facing up.

Next, put enough icing around the center hole so that a Hershey’s Kiss will stick to the cookie. I did two rings of icing, but you can put the icing directly onto the Kiss if you want.

Press an unwrapped Hershey’s Kiss on top of the icing–you should have applied enough icing so that there is a stripe of color between the Kiss and the cookie.

Now you can have fun! Decorate your witches’ hats, and you’re done.

*A note about the icing: You can use store-bought or homemade decorating icing, although I’d recommend store bought. It’s easier, and comes in much smaller quantities than homemade icing, which makes way too much for this recipe. Unless, of course, you’re planning on making over 150 cookies.
