On Friday, March 19, NDP hosted Coffee House, an annual tradition in which students share their talents, support their friends, and, of course, enjoy coffee! One hundred percent of the proceeds raised from ticket and treat sales went towards the dining room project at NDP’s Sister School in Mkar, Nigeria. This year, the event was hosted in the auxiliary building and featured approximately twenty acts, ranging from piano concertos to acapella!
Two gripping performances from musicians included Aaliyah P ‘27’s Concerto No. 12 on the piano and a duet from Audrey M ’26 and Chloe C ’28, who played Laufey’s “From the Start” on the piano and electric guitar, respectively. Two other duets during the night had everyone in the audience grabbing tissues- sisters Sydney N ’26 and Sanaa N ’28 sang “For Good” from Wicked, a ballad that allowed them to espresso their sisterly bond. Later, Abby P ’26 and Dr. Pellechia sang Mamma Mia’s “Slipping Through My Fingers,” a ballad about a parent watching their daughter grow up. Closing acts showed that good things come to those who au lait. Two of NDP’s beloved musical groups performed: the Ukeladies and the Blaze Clefs! The Ukeladies, a service group known for their ukulele talents, played and sang “Brown Eyed Girl.” The Blaze Clefs, NDP’s resident acapella group, performed “Unwritten,” with the vocal parts making the perfect blend.
Evidently, Coffee House 2026 was a huge success and a brewtiful night! If you’d like to see videos from the night, visit ndpcoffeehouse on Instagram! We’re sure you’ll love them a latte!
