As Gym Meet season comes to a close, and we begin to remember what normal life feels like, it’s easy to forget about the second-best spring NDP tradition- Coffee House. Coffee House at NDP is an amazing way to showcase your talents alongside friends and family bolstered by delicious food and heart-warming beverages.
From Irish dance to drawing caricatures to an acoustic version of your favorite song, Coffee House is host to a myriad of diverse and entertaining events. Alone or with a group of friends, there truly is no better place for making memories and showing off your skills. Better yet, all it takes is just a short 45 second video to take part in this amazing tradition.
Not to mention, opportunities to win prizes will be scattered throughout the night. These prizes can be anything from a café NDP gift card to something from your own small business or hobby! If you’re interested in donating a prize, email anyone on the Coffee House leadership team to see how you can help.
And just like all top-tier NDP events, Coffee House comes with a banner ready for the taking. Any class can win the coveted banner by showcasing their talents and raising the most money. In other words, the more people in your grade involved in Coffee House, the better your chances of winning are!
Now, you might be wondering where the proceeds generated at Coffee House will go to, and this year Coffee House has a wonderful new mission to share. You may have heard about efforts to help our sister school in MKAR Nigeria, and the Coffee House leadership team is proud to say that the money donated during this fundraising event will be going straight towards improving and developing the educational environment for our sisters across the Atlantic. This purpose strikes close to home, as we are not only connected through our shared mission of learning and transformation, but through the coinciding development of new student centers.
