Ring, Ring, Ring!

Ring, Ring, Ring!

Maeve Sheehey

On November 6th, all of this year’s juniors got to finally get our rings. After two years of being in the audience, it was great to be on stage. The day started out with Ring Liturgy, put together by the junior Campus Ministers. The liturgy was finished off by some great remarks about this important day in our lives, said by Ms. Gutierrez.

The next part of the day was the actual Ring Ceremony. The rest of the school managed to fit into the auditorium with our families to watch this important event. After our names were called, Emily Cooper gave a beautiful address to our class. When the ceremony was finished and we had all walked out to “On My Way,” we all ran around to take pictures and turn rings. It was a great day so far, but it wasn’t over yet.

The Ring Dance started at 8:00, and it was an amazing time. We all finally got to wear the dresses that we had found months ago, and everybody looked gorgeous! There was a photo booth, a refreshments table, and so much more. Everyone had a great time dancing and hanging out with their friends. Finally, at the end of the dance, our theme song, “Moments Like This” played. We all danced together in a giant circle. This was an amazing experience, and it really showed how close together our class had come.

All in all, Ring Day was pretty perfect. The liturgy, ceremony, and dance all came together in the end, creating a fantastic milestone. I can’t wait for the class of 2018 to experience it all next year!
