On April 4-5th, NDP’s chorus, band, orchestra, and chamber choir visited Busch Gardens “Music in the Parks” for their annual music adjudication trip. Students in these groups had the chance to not only compete against twenty-six other schools, but also have some fun in the area!
On Friday morning students took the bus down to Virginia. Everyone stopped for a quick lunch and checked into the hotel before getting ready to perform and watch the other groups. In the competition, band, chorus, and chamber choir all received superior rankings and orchestra received an excellent. After giving incredible performances, the students enjoyed free time around Colonial Williamsburg, talking to colonial reenactors, shopping, and eating delicious food! The next day students went to Busch Gardens amusement park for a day full of fun before returning to campus that night.
All the musicians were so happy to be able to showcase their hard work in competition! If you’d like to come hear the performances that received these excellent scores, come and support during concerts on May 7th and 8th!
