The seeking touch of a familiar hand
And a welcoming smile with no strings attached
Withstand the test of time and its running sand:
Love’s message in spite of the silence dispatched.
Love is always precious but not always kind.
For love’s sake we labour, we lament, we live.
The tears may be bitter, but we never mind.
Holding the hands of those we love, we survive.
Amid all these people in this world of scars,
There are lost ones struggling for a love divine.
When else but now will they find a love like ours,
One that will never leave them like yours and mine?
In this time we have left to live let us love.
Let us love until we meet again, above.
